AFG VS SL ASIA CUP MATCH REPORT

The 7th match of the Asia Cup 2022 will see Sri Lanka facing off against Afghanistan on 3rd September at the Sharjah Cricket Association Stadium, Sharjah.

Sri Lanka beat Afghanistan by four wickets in their Super 4 match of the Asia Cup here on Saturday. Sri Lanka chased down the target of 176 with five balls to spare with useful contributions from Kushal Mendis (36), Pathum Nissanka (35), Danushka Gunathilaka (33) and Bhanuka Rajapaksa (31).

The temperature is expected to hover around 35°C on the matchday with 45% humidity and 13 km/hr wind speed. There are no chances of precipitation during the game.

The ground in Sharjah has historically been quite favourable to spinners, and this was evident during the opening match between Bangladesh and Afghanistan. In the last 5 T20 games, 166 runs have been scored on average in the first innings. The toss-winning team might decide to bat.
